First Day of Spring In Baja

This being the first day of Spring I was not completely surprised to see some hits on a blog from last year entitled appropriately “The First Day Of Spring”. The blog consists of a few photos I took around the grounds of the mobile mansion on a gloomy, overcast, on the verge of raining, day in Western Sonoma County.

This being our first day of Spring spent at Casa Fisherrero I thought it might be interesting to compare what I saw on a brief walkabout in the garden of our Todos Santos Abode. I’d have to say Spring is not as dramatic South of the Tropic of Cancer. You have to look a little harder for signs. But I’m no horticulturist so I’m probably not aware of some of the more subtle signs of the season. I’ll just have to let the pictures speak louder than my uninformed words.

These baby mangoes will grow into child mangoes, teenage mangoes, adult mangoes, elderly mangoes, and be long dead before we come back next year. Sad isn't it? We've only made mango margaritas from this fruit on one occasion a few years back.
