Beisbol Been Very Good To Me

As you can tell I am a big Giants fan. I have always loved baseball (except for a brief period in the 90’s after the greedy millionaires went on strike and there was no World Series). From the time I was a Little Leaguer, PONY Leaguer and high school player to the present I have been an avid follower of the national pastime. Naturally I wanted to see what our Todos Santos team had to offer. Last evening we turned up at the Jesus Rosas Stadium to take a look at the local talent. Although there is not a blade of grass on the field and the dugouts look like bomb shelters after a bombing, the talent level is unexpectedly high.

We couldn’t determine which team was the home team and which was the visiting team, but the names of the players were dutifully called out by the announcer as they came to bat. Ranchero music was blasted in between innings. Attendance was low due to the fact that there was so much going on in town, but those present cheered on their favorites’ achievements on offense and defense.

Little did the batter know that he was seconds away from being hit by the pitch.
