The real “Family Circus” was made famous by artist, Bill Keane, who passed away November 8th, 2011.
230px-Bil_Keane_(1990) William Aloysius Keane, better known as Bil Keane, was an American cartoonist most notable for his work on the long-running newspaper comic The Family Circus. It began in 1960 and continues in syndication, drawn by his son Jeff Keane.

  1. When I first saw this I thought, “Bill Keane has a friggin’ ponytail?!?!? Glad to see it’s only Pat. Tell him I said, “Hey” (and meant it, too).
    Great strip, Michael. Much better than The Family Circus. Of course shingles is better than The Family Circus.
