“You don’t miss your water…”

This one need a prefatory statement even though water and the lack of it are at the forefront of our lives here in Todos Santos and with California in the midst of a record drought year will be there when we return as well. Recently Casa Fisherrero has been without water for the better part of three days: no baths, no dish washing, no dog washing (Aldo says thank dog for that). We eke out enough for face-washing and teeth brushing but that’s about it, not even enough for, eeeewwww, toilet flushing. We were about to get in touch with the Water Company (after the three day Mexican weekend) when we could finally hear the trickle of water refilling the cistern or tinaca (sp). Although we tend to make a bigger deal out of it than it actually is, it is just part of the way of life in an arid climate zone. And it (conserving water) will be good training for the new rules in California.

Ah, Miguel! You are so funny XD

  2. I read yesterday that there is a possibility California water rules will be relaxed if the el Nino rains continue into spring.
